If it is not possible to cure 30 days then the surface should be allowed to cure 7 days and use an appropriate primer. If painting plaster the plaster surface should also be cured, soft plaster should be treated with a solution of 1 pint of vinegar to 1 gallon of water until the plaster is hard prior to painting.
