The EMAX Silent Air Industrial Plus ESP15V120Y3-208 is a 15 HP, 3-cylinder, two-stage piston air compressor on a 120-gallon vertical stationary tank. It delivers 58 CFM at up to 175 PSI on 208V three-phase power and is bundled with a 115 CFM refrigerated air dryer. With a pressure-lubricated cast iron pump, continuous-run capability, and patented noise suppression, it suits industrial facilities and shops that need high-volume, continuous-duty air with less noise.

Silent Air™ Noise Suppression

• Up to 50% Quieter: The patented Silent Air™ silencer system achieves up to 50% quieter operation, with noise levels at or below conversational volume. Each 10 dBA drop equals a 50% reduction to the human ear.

• Intake Noise Control: Noise-reducing baffle plates and high-capacity filter media target intake noise, which is the loudest source of compressor sound. The system provides up to 1000% more filtration than standard setups.

Pressure Lubrication Pump

• Gear-Driven Oil Pump: A gear oil pump mounted to the rear of the crankshaft generates positive oil pressure. It delivers a continuous flow of oil to each bearing point, reducing friction and wear and keeping bearings cool.

• Rifle-Drilled Oil Passages: The crankshaft and connecting rods are rifle-drilled so oil flows directly to bearings, piston pins, and other high-friction wear points.

• Spin-On Oil Filter: An automotive-style spin-on oil filter keeps oil clean and simplifies maintenance during oil changes. Oil capacity is 3 quarts.

• Analog Oil Pressure Gauge: Operators can monitor oil pressure accurately.

• Continuous-Duty Protection: Unlike splash-lubricated systems, pressure lubrication delivers oil precisely where it's needed. This reduces friction, wear, and heat in high-stress, continuous-duty environments.

Cast Iron Pump Construction

• Cast Iron Major Components: The crankcase, cylinder heads, cylinders, connecting rods, crankshaft, and high-pressure piston are all cast iron, for durability and rigidity that aluminum components do not offer.

• Rebuildable Connecting Rods: The CNC-machined solid cast iron connecting rods use replaceable bearing inserts and wrist pins, so the assembly is fully rebuildable rather than throw-away.

• Four-Ring Piston Design: Each piston has two oil control rings and two compression rings, designed to overlap. This design maximizes sealing, minimizes compression loss, reduces oil carryover, and extends ring life.

• Two-Stage Pump: The model APP3Y2062TP pump uses aluminum low-pressure pistons for balance and efficiency, since they operate at around 45 PSI. Cast iron high-pressure pistons resist cylinder scoring under heavy loads.

• Non-Oil-Absorbent Gaskets: High-quality gaskets minimize oil leakage and reduce maintenance requirements.

Drive and Motor

• Heavy-Duty Cast Iron Flywheel: The flywheel's increased mass generates greater kinetic energy, which reduces amp draw and lowers energy consumption. Multiple B-groove belts extend belt life, and optimized cooling fins enhance pump cooling.

• Belt Tensioner: An included belt tensioner helps maintain proper belt tension.

• TEFC Motor: The totally enclosed fan-cooled motor runs at 1740 RPM, driving the pump at 815 RPM.

• Magnetic Starter: The unit is equipped with a mag starter. FLA with the 1.15 service factor is 41.9 amps, and the recommended breaker is 70 amps.
