Buying guide
Match reel to fluid. Oil reels use different seals than grease reels — never mix. Grease hoses are rated for higher pressure. Air reels are the loosest tolerance and cheapest but not rated for fluid.
Spring vs electric rewind. Spring is the default — no power needed, retracts under spring tension. Electric rewind is used on very long hoses (75+ ft) where spring tension isn't enough.

Q: Can I re-hose a bare reel?
A: Yes — most bare reels accept standard 3/8" or 1/2" ID hoses in 50 or 75 ft lengths. Match the hose rating to your fluid (grease-rated hose ≥ 5000 psi).
