What makes a pump suitable for clean-in-place service?
A CIP pump has to survive the cleaning cycle as well as the product: hot caustic and acid wash at pressure, repeatedly. That means chemically compatible seats, balls and diaphragms, plus a design that drains fully and has no crevices to harbour bacteria. Husky CIP models are built for that duty.

Which Husky size fits my CIP loop?
Husky 307 (3/8 in.) suits small skids and lab-scale loops, Husky 515 (1/2 in.) is the common mid-size choice, and Husky 1050 (1 in.) handles larger vessel and tank circuits. Match the pump to the loop velocity you need, not just the tank volume.

Polypropylene or stainless construction?
Polypropylene resists most CIP chemistries at lower cost and is common on dedicated cleaning skids. Stainless is chosen where the same pump also moves product, or where temperature and pressure exceed what PP is rated for.

What seat and ball material should I specify?
Stainless seats with PTFE balls are the general-purpose CIP combination. Acetal seats appear on lower-pressure duty. Buna-N is economical but has limited chemical resistance — check it against your specific wash chemistry before ordering.
