The BNP 162 is the smallest of the three ZERO tumble barrels, taking part loads up to 100 lbs in a 1.0 cuft barrel. Tumble barrel systems suit automotive rebuilders and small parts manufacturers — anyone processing repeat batches of hard parts that would take all day to blast one at a time by hand.
How it works
Inside the barrel the parts ride on a cushioning layer of media while #5 ZERO automatic guns clean, etch or shot peen their surfaces. Because the load is carried on media rather than dropped against bare steel, parts come out finished instead of dinged. The barrel interior is built from replaceable rubber-covered metal panels, so the wear surface is a service item rather than a reason to replace the machine.
ZERO offers tumble barrel cabinets with suction blast systems only.
RPH dust collector
The RPH has a built-in hopper that keeps dust handling away from the operator. At each pulse the dust drops into the hopper and then into a disposal drum or bag underneath — nobody opens a filter housing and nobody carries a tray of spent media and dust across the shop. The RPH is also rated for outdoor installation if you would rather put the collector outside the building.
Electrical package
Supplied with the variable-speed drive package: blower on/off, 60-minute auto-reset timer, blast gun on/off, sequence on/off, barrel jog switch, variable-speed barrel drive, NEMA-12 enclosure. Variable speed matters more than it sounds — barrel rotation speed is how you control the aggressiveness of the tumble for delicate parts.
