The EMAX Hydro SMART AIR® Silent Air Compressor (EVW10V080V13-208) is a 10 HP, 2-stage piston compressor that delivers 38 CFM to a vertical 80-gallon ASME/CRN tank at up to 175 PSI. It is configured for 208V, 1 & 3 phase power and pairs a water-cooled, pressure-lubricated cast iron pump with a Smart PLC with WiFi. With a 100% duty cycle, it suits shops and facilities that need quiet, continuous-duty compressed air.

Silent Air™ Noise Suppression

• Up to 50% Quieter: The patented Silent Air™ silencer system runs at noise levels at or below conversational volume. Each 10 dBA drop equals a 50% reduction to the human ear.

• Intake Noise Control: The system targets intake noise, the loudest source of compressor sound. It uses noise-reducing baffle plates and high-capacity filter media.

• Enhanced Filtration: It provides up to 1000% more filtration than standard setups.

• Service-Friendly Design: Enclosed cabinet systems are costly and restrict service access. This silencer is cost-effective, easy to service, and does not compromise accessibility.

Pressure Lubricated 2-Stage Pump

• Gear-Driven Oil Pump: An oil pump mounted to the rear of the crankshaft creates positive oil pressure. It sends a continuous flow of oil to each bearing point, keeping bearings cool and reducing friction, wear, and heat.

• Rifle-Drilled Crankshaft & Rods: Oil flows directly to bearings, the piston pin, and other high-friction wear points.

• Spin-On Oil Filter: An automotive-style filter keeps the oil clean and simplifies oil changes.

• Oil Pressure Gauge: An analog gauge lets operators monitor oil pressure accurately.

• Water-Cooled Pump: The APP4V1043WC water-cooled pump runs at 730 RPM. It has an estimated pump life of 80,000 hours and a 2-quart oil capacity.

Cast Iron Construction

• Major Components: The crankcase, cylinder heads, cylinders, connecting rods, crankshaft, and high-pressure piston are all cast iron.

• Cast Iron High-Pressure Piston: It is built to withstand heavy loads and prevent cylinder scoring and pump failure.

• CNC-Machined Connecting Rods: Solid cast iron rods provide maximum rigidity and strength, including at the crankshaft end.

• Fully Rebuildable: Replaceable bearing inserts and wrist pins allow the connecting rod assembly to be rebuilt rather than thrown away.

• Four-Ring Piston Design: Two oil control rings and two overlapping compression rings maximize sealing, minimize blow-by and oil carryover, and extend ring life.

• Non-Oil-Absorbent Gaskets: These gaskets minimize oil leakage and reduce maintenance.

Drive System

• Heavy-Duty Flywheel: The 20" cast iron flywheel has 9 large cooling fins. Its added mass helps reduce amp draw and enhances pump cooling.

• Dual B-Groove Belts: Two B-style belts provide a larger contact surface for longer belt life.

• Belt Tensioner & Pump Riser: Both come standard on this model.

• ODP Motor: The 10 HP open drip-proof motor runs at 1740 RPM with a variable start type.

Smart Controls & Installation

• Smart PLC with WiFi: SMART AIR® control is built into this unit.

• Automatic Tank Drain: An automatic drain is included on the 80-gallon vertical tank, which is ASME and CRN certified.

• Electrical: Rated at 52.9 FLA (with 1.15 service factor) and 270 locked rotor and peak starting amps. A 60A breaker is recommended.

• Air Outlet: 3/4" outlet.

• Optional Head Unloaders: These are available for constant-run applications. They relieve the intake valve during operation to improve pump cooling and reduce wear.
