It can also true up miters, chamfer sharp edges, smooth milling marks, and clean up glue lines.

The low angle block plane can trim small amounts of wood from the edges of doors to fit them more precisely into cabinets or even entryways.

The 9-3/4" long smoothing plane with hardwood handles was designed for taking away small amounts of material where tearout is possible.

A smoothing plane is also helpful when trimming troublesome areas that have changes in grain direction or height.

Often the last hand planes used on a wood surface, they are capable of producing a finish that equals or surpasses that left by sandpaper.

It's also a great general-purpose plane for other uses such as planing doors and window sashes.

Designed for curved work, such as shaping chair seats and legs, the 2-1/8" wide, flat sole spokeshave is fully adjustable for depth of cut and thickness of shavings.
