The T31849 6" V-helical Cutterhead replaces the standard straight-knife cutterheads on our Grizzly jointers.
Each V-helical cutterhead has four helical rows complete with 24 indexable, four-sided carbide inserts that come together to form a “V” in the middle of the cutterhead.
This not only offers the shearing-action and clean cuts of helical cutterheads, reducing tearout in highly figured woods, but also, due to the “V” formation, improves finish and dust collection as well.
The four-sided carbide inserts can be rotated three times for a new factory-sharp edge.
All cutterheads include 5 extra inserts, T-handle wrench, Torx bits and spare insert screws.
These Grizzly cutterheads leave an incredible finish and are comparable to the Byrd cutterheads in quality of cut as well as the quality of the cutterhead itself.
Replacement inserts for the T31849 6" V-helical Cutterhead are the H9893 and come in a 10-pack.
Like all Grizzly cutterheads, the T31849 comes with a 1-year warranty which covers parts and assures the unit is free from factory defects. (Consumables are not covered by the warranty.)
