Want to ensure a tight joint between boards before a glue up? The T33285 Premium No. 7 Jointer Plane straightens and trues edges prior to joining.
The No. 7 jointer plane has been one of the staples of a woodworker’s tool kit going back to the early 19th century. Within the Stanley numbering system, jointer planes are the longest planes.
At 22" long and 2-3/8" wide, the No. 7 can also save time and effort by quickly smoothing and leveling large surfaces. The longer sole means an increase in surface contact. That results in an overall flatter surface.
With cast-iron bodies with precision-ground soles and sides, these planes are not only heavy-duty; their ultra-flat surfaces allow you to plane your workpieces with reliable accuracy.
The jointer plane has an adjuster for advancing and retracting the blade for varying depths of cut. The accuracy of this mechanism allows you to adjust the cutting iron to a virtually "zero" mouth opening. This allows for the finest shavings–even on the most difficult of woods.
It also features a lever for adjusting the blade side-to-side in order to get perfect, full-width shavings every time.
The blade is made from high carbon steel, hardened and tempered to 60-62 Rockwell C, and precision ground to 3mm thick.
The single-piece design of the cap iron offers rigid clamping.
The T33285 is made from the finest materials:
Stainless steel frog locating pins and screws
Shaped, sanded, and sealed hardwood knob and handle
Polished brass lever cap, screws, and adjusting wheel
The T33285 Premium No. 7 Jointer Plane is an essential hand tool that will help you achieve the best results possible.
