How lubrication equipment breaks down

Oil vs grease — Oil systems (Fire-Ball, LD, Dyna-Star oil configurations, Manzel MBL box lubricators) handle fluid lubricants: gear oil, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid, engine oil, and compressor cylinder oil. Grease systems (Fire-Ball grease, Dyna-Star grease, air-operated grease pumps) handle NLGI-grade greases from 000 through #2 for bearings, chains, and heavy machinery.

Manual dispensing vs automatic — Manual dispensing = agent walks up with a hose and dispenses via a gun. Automatic lubrication = a controller-driven pump feeds many points on a fixed schedule, no operator needed. Both matter; most PSE customers use manual for their shop floor and automatic on Class-8 trucks, construction equipment, and compressor lines.

Pail vs drum vs bulk — Fire-Ball and Dyna-Star pumps come sized for 35 lb, 55 gal, 120 lb, 400 lb reservoirs. Buy the pump for your container size — a 400-lb barrel pump won't fit a 35-lb bucket.
