Buying guide

Preset vs non-metered. Preset meters (like LD electronic) let the tech dial in an exact quantity (e.g. 5.0 qt), pull the trigger, and stop automatically. Non-metered valves flow while the trigger is held — cheaper, but requires manual counting.

Flexible vs rigid extension. Rigid nozzle extensions work for open-top fills. Flexible extensions reach into tight fill ports — worth the extra cost if you do a lot of automotive service work.

FAQ

Q: Do LD meters need a specific pump?
A: No — LD meters work with any air-operated Graco oil pump (Fire-Ball 300, Fire-Ball 425, LD series). They're calibrated for oil, not grease.

Q: Can I use one meter with multiple fluid types?
A: Yes, but calibrate for the worst-case viscosity. LD electronic meters have per-fluid calibration modes.
