The EMAX Silent Air ESPR10V120V1 is an industrial 10 HP two-stage piston air compressor delivering 38 CFM at up to 175 max PSI from a 120-gallon vertical tank. It runs on 230V single-phase power and pairs a pressure-lubricated, cast iron pump with EMAX's patented Silent Air™ noise suppression system. It suits shops with single-phase 230V service that need high air volume and quieter operation in demanding, continuous-duty environments.

Silent Air™ Noise Suppression

• Up to 50% Quieter: The patented silencer system achieves up to 50% quieter operation, with noise levels at or below conversational volume. Each 10 dBA drop equals a 50% reduction to the human ear.

• Intake Noise Control: Targets intake noise, the loudest source of compressor sound, using noise-reducing baffle plates and high-capacity filter media.

• Enhanced Filtration: Provides up to 1000% more filtration than standard setups.

Pressure-Lubricated Two-Stage Pump

• Gear-Driven Oil Pump: A gear oil pump mounted to the rear of the crankshaft generates positive oil pressure. It delivers a continuous flow of oil to each bearing point to reduce friction and wear and keep bearings cool.

• Rifle-Drilled Oil Passages: The crankshaft and connecting rods are rifle-drilled to route oil directly to bearings, the piston pin, and other high-friction wear points.

• Spin-On Oil Filter: An automotive-style spin-on oil filter keeps oil clean and simplifies maintenance during oil changes. Oil capacity is 2 quarts.

• Oil Pressure Gauge: An analog pressure gauge lets operators monitor oil pressure accurately.

• Long Service Life: The two-stage pump (model APP4V1043TP) runs at 730 RPM and has an estimated pump life of 70,000 hours.

Cast Iron Construction & Pump Internals

• Cast Iron Major Components: The crankcase, cylinder heads, cylinders, connecting rods, crankshaft, and high-pressure piston are all cast iron, for greater durability and rigidity than aluminum.

• CNC-Machined Connecting Rods: The rods are solid cast iron for maximum rigidity, including at the crankshaft end. Replaceable bearing inserts and wrist pins make the connecting rod assembly fully rebuildable.

• Four-Ring Piston Design: Each piston uses two oil control rings and two compression rings that overlap. This design minimizes compression loss, prevents blow-by, and reduces oil carryover.

• Balanced Low-Pressure Pistons: The low-pressure pistons are aluminum for balance and efficiency, since they operate at approximately 45 PSI.

• Non-Oil-Absorbent Gaskets: These gaskets minimize oil leakage and reduce maintenance requirements.

Drive & Cooling

• Heavy-Duty Flywheel: A 20" cast iron flywheel with 9 large cooling fins adds mass for greater kinetic energy, which reduces amp draw and enhances pump cooling.

• Dual B-Groove Belt Drive: Two B-style belts provide a larger contact surface to extend belt life. A belt tensioner and pump riser are also included.

• Radiator/Aftercooler: The unit is equipped with a radiator-style aftercooler.

• ODP Electric Motor: The open drip-proof motor runs at 1,740 RPM.

Tank, Electrical & Installation

• 120-Gallon Vertical Tank: The tank is ASME and CRN certified, with a 1" outlet.

• Automatic Tank Drain: The tank drains automatically, with no manual draining required.

• Electrical Requirements: The unit runs on 230V (+/- 10%) single-phase power with a magnetic starter. It draws 52.9 FLA (including the 1.15 service factor) and 270 locked rotor/peak starting amps. A 60 A breaker is recommended.

• Footprint: Uncrated dimensions are approximately 44" L x 31" W x 80" H.
