FAQ
When should I choose a Type I can over a Type II?
A Type I can suits filling and pouring into wide openings, such as refilling equipment with large fill necks, dispensing into a bench can, or carrying small amounts around a shop. If you pour into small openings like a mower or generator tank, a Type II can with its flexible spout is easier to use.
Can I add a funnel to a Type I can?
Yes. Many Type I cans here come with a funnel, and Justrite and Eagle sell funnels separately to fit their Type I cans so you can pour more precisely without switching to a Type II can.
Steel or polyethylene Type I can?
Galvanized steel is the standard choice for gasoline and flammable solvents. Polyethylene cans resist corrosion, so they suit acids and corrosive liquids that would attack steel.
