120-grit replacement sanding belts for your knife grinder.
Made with premium ceramic abrasive grains, the T34173 2" x 42" Sanding Belts tend to last longer than zirconia belts, especially under high pressure.
Because ceramic abrasive remove material slightly slower, they generate less heat during sanding, which can be beneficial for heat-sensitive materials or preventing workpiece burn.
120-grit paper is a fine abrasive that focuses on surface refinement, delivering a smoother finish after previous sanding stages. It's excellent for lightly smoothing surfaces without aggressive material removal. This grit is particularly effective for achieving a polished result where a finer finish is desired.
It is important to sequence your sanding from a lower number to a higher number without bypassing more than one grit. Doing so may not remove the marks from the rougher grit.
The 2" x 42" size is ideal for use on knife grinders–especially on the Grizzly T32459 Knife-Making Grinder.
Within the belt thickness rating system, the Y-weight backing extremely heavy-duty cloth is used for aggressive sanding removal in heavy-duty applications.
Built to last, the added strength of this backing ensures that the belt stays in place and doesn't wear out too quickly, even with heavy use.
The combination of a robust backing and aggressive abrasive grains makes it suitable for removing material quickly and efficiently.
