The EMAX Silent Air Industrial ESPR10V080V1 is a 10 HP, two-stage piston air compressor that delivers 38 CFM with a maximum pressure of 175 PSI. It pairs a pressure-lubricated, cast iron pump with an 80-gallon vertical tank and runs on 1-phase 230V power. Silent Air™ Noise Suppression

• Up to 50% Quieter: The patented Silent Air™ silencer system achieves up to 50% quieter operation, with noise levels at or below conversational volume. Each 10 dBA drop equals a 50% reduction to the human ear.

• Intake Noise Control: The system targets intake noise, the loudest source of compressor sound. It uses noise-reducing baffle plates, high-capacity filter media, and up to 1000% more filtration than standard setups.

Pressure Lubrication Pump

• Gear-Driven Oil Pump: An oil pump mounted to the rear of the crankshaft generates positive oil pressure. It delivers a continuous flow of oil to each bearing point, keeping bearings cool and reducing friction and internal wear.

• Rifle-Drilled Crankshaft & Rods: Oil travels through the crankshaft and connecting rods directly to bearings, piston pins, and other high-friction points.

• Spin-On Oil Filter: An automotive-style spin-on oil filter keeps oil clean and simplifies maintenance during oil changes. The pump uses a 2-quart oil capacity.

• Analog Oil Pressure Gauge: Operators can monitor oil pressure accurately for reliable performance and peace of mind.

• Long Pump Life: Estimated pump life is 70,000 hours. Pressure lubrication is especially beneficial in high-stress, continuous-duty environments.

100% Cast Iron, Two-Stage Pump Construction

• Cast Iron Major Components: The crankcase, cylinder heads, cylinders, connecting rods, crankshaft, and high-pressure piston are all cast iron. This provides more durability and rigidity than aluminum components.

• Two-Stage Pump: The pump is model APP4V1043TP. Its aluminum low-pressure pistons provide balance and efficiency, operating under low stress (~45 PSI). Its cast iron high-pressure pistons are designed to withstand heavy loads and prevent cylinder scoring.

• Rebuildable Connecting Rods: The CNC-machined solid cast iron rods have replaceable bearing inserts and wrist pins, so the assembly can be fully rebuilt rather than thrown away.

• Four-Ring Piston Design: Each piston has two oil control rings and two overlapping compression rings. This design maximizes sealing, prevents blow-by, reduces oil carryover, and extends ring life.

• Non-Oil-Absorbent Gaskets: High-quality gaskets minimize oil leakage and reduce maintenance requirements.

• Optional Head Unloaders: Head unloaders are available as an option for constant-run applications. They relieve the intake valve during operation to improve pump cooling and reduce wear.

Drive System & Electrical

• Heavy-Duty Cast Iron Flywheel: The 10 HP model uses a 20" flywheel with (2) B-style groove belts and 9 large cooling fins. The added mass reduces amp draw, and the cooling fins enhance pump cooling.

• Belt Drive Components: The compressor includes a belt tensioner and a pump riser. The pump runs at 730 RPM.

• ODP Electric Motor: The 10 HP open drip-proof motor runs at 1740 RPM on 230V, 1-phase power.

• Magnetic Starter: A magnetic starter is included.

• Electrical Requirements: The motor draws 52.9 FLA (including the 1.15 service factor). Locked rotor and peak starting amps are 270, and the recommended breaker is 60 amps.
